I find that if I'm in a mood to just eat, I don't eat as much if I have to work at it or it takes a long time to eat. That way you're body has time to realize that it's getting the food it wants (takes up to 20 minutes sometimes).
Try eating whole carrots rather than baby carrots. Those things are too easy to pop 3 in at a time. Gnaw on a whole stalk of celery rather than eating it in easy, pop-able sticks. A whole 8" cucumber has only 45 calories. See if you're hungry after gnawing on that!
Popsicles are only 15 calories and take a long time to eat, unless you're a biter. Fudgesicles are 40 calories, but very satisfying.

a good trick is to chew anythink you want(even if its chocolate) then spit it out, that way u dont swallow no calories and u have the taste of whatever you just eaten in your mouth

It is cold so something warm would probably leave you feeling
happier. I have been making myself vegetable meals because I can have
two big plates full and still be within 500kcal.
I got the recipe from the Betty Crocker cookbook. it's called Roasted Vegetables.
Basically what you do is this:
preheat oven to 450F
get a big bowl out and put 1-2Tbs Olive oil, 1/2 tsp Salt, 1/8tsp pepper and a little garlic powder and mix it up.
for one person i would take about 3 vegetables, cut them in chunks and throw them in the bowl. mix well. spread on pan, put in oven. takes 30-40 min, stir once.
list of vegetable ideas:
bell peppers
onions
zucchini
eggplant
carrots
any root vegetable you can find
oh what the heck, just throw the vegetable in there and see how it turns out. you can also use potatoes, but they are a lil higher in calories.
ask me if you have questions.
this leaves you feeling full and great.

I love nori sheets. You can eat them plain, spread with a thin layer of hummus, wrapped around a pickle, carrot, cucumber wedge, or laughing cow cheese. It's salty and crunchy but turns chewy in your mouth. It's about 5 cal per sheet and it takes a while to chew through so it can feel like a bit more. Also, it's surprisingly low in sodium for something which tastes quite salty (about 10-15 mg per sheet). You could go through a whole pack and only consume about 50 calories while getting a good serving of healthy nutrients.
