The Immortals Workout Routine Explained
After doing some extensive research on the upcoming movie due out November 11th 2011 called The Immortals, it came to my attention the physiques almost every actor portrayed in the movie. I began looking around for what I assumed would be deemed the "Immortals Workout" and really found nothing.
I realized the same producers who came up with the movie 300 were also behind the making of the Immortals and I must say the actors physiques from both movies are very similiar. In doing more research I discovered the Immortals workout consisted of a training style called Metabolic Conditioning.
This type of workout consists of a group of exercises such as:
- pushups
- pullups
- squats
- lunges
- sit ups
to be done in a back to back fashion with no rest in between each exercise and a 1 min rest between each set, then repeat for as many as desired. This type of training creates is extremely effective for burning fat in a short period of time.
The Actors in the Immortals movie, although not written in stone, would do a circuit like the one above after every workout to help them achieve achieve a lean body shape.
How Does One Get Abs Like The Actors In Immortals?
Start with 3 circuit conditioning routines per week and work up to doing one everyday. Do these after a regular full body workout routine that consists of the big 3 exercises such as...

- Deadlift
Also pay very close attention to your diet and avoid all processed foods and sugary drinks, stick to high protein low carb diet untill the desired look is achieved.

Want An Upper Body Like The Immortals?
If you are looking to obtain an upper body like the actors in the immortals their are a few exercises I highly suggest you put into your current workout routine.
I would focus your upper body work on these exercises:
Incline Barbell press - This will help you develop a wide upper chest and give you a visually wider frame.
Dips - Like the incline press, dips are a excellent developer of the upper body and will give your torso a wide sweeping look to help with a prominent V-taper.
Side Lateral Raises - These will give the shoulder a much needed boost to have the look of cannonball delts to achieve that v-taper look.
Over head tricep extensions - When done correctly these help develop the lateral head of the triceps which when given attention can make your arms appear much larger.
Give these exercises a try in your next workout and you will see the difference a little focused training can give an immortals like physique.
